- In Add New Record, set the priority for new MX entry, with the record that 0 is the highest priority. These are some points you need to consider for the priority of MX entry:
- Smallest value means highest priority, 0 is the highest priority.
- Main mail server (with lowest number of priority) will receive email which sent to your domain.
- Backup or secondary mail server (with higher number of priority) can be used for backup or other purposes.
- If you already set several mail servers with equal priority, the incoming mail will be distributed randomly to them.
- In Destination text box, type hostname from new mail exchanger.
- Click Add New Record to save changed.
