Add Account Filter




It is important giving appropriate name for the filter, because it will be very useful for filter managing next time.

To create new filter:

  1. Click Create a New Filter.
  2. Type filter name in Filter Name box.
  3. Select message characteristics from the first pull-down menu.
  4. Select operator from the next pull-down menu
  5. Input character or letter you wish as filter.

    Note: This section will accept ordinary sentence (if you choose regex operator), character which commonly used is wildcard character such as (*) or (?).

  6. You can add or reduce the rule by clicking + and – button
  7. Select action from pull-down menu below Actions.  You can add or reduce by clicking + and –
  8. Click Activate to initiate filter.

*About operator usage: when you create filter by using several operators, you need to know that cPanel will process “and” operator first before”or” operator.  Filter process will be work as follows:

  • A or B and C will be processed as A or (B and C).
  • A and B or C will be processed as (A and B) or C.

If you want to create filter such as (A or B) and (C or D) you should create it as follow:

  • (A and C) or (A and D) or (B and C) or (B and D)
